RSA swimmers concluded their Summer Season with a grand splash as RSA finished 2nd among the 19 teams that competed at Tar Heel States on July 30th-August 1st. The “Hawaiian Theme” for the Meet was just enough to motivate our swimmers to take home Two High Point Winners, 62 scoring swimmers and a total of 66 swimmers who earned best times!

RSA won 17 of the 34 events at the 2010 Long Course Senior Championships held July 22nd-25th! The Senior swimmers started the meet on Thursday night with Three 1st Place finishes and a collection of Top 16 finishes in the 800 Free and 800 Free Relays! Quality swims; new team records and success persisted throughout the weekend as RSA finished 2nd (for the Second Year in a Row!) scoring 1,015 points and finished first among the Triangle!

RSA had a roaring start to the 2010 LCM NCS Senior Champs last night, posting wins in 3 of the 4 events contested. More importantly both the Men's and Women's A and B 800 Free relays finished in the Top-8! RSA takes the early lead over SWIMMAC Carolina 212-195 after Day 1 with 4 events down and 30 more to go!

It was a “hot” weekend in Charlotte and RSA swimmers were on fire as they swam at the LCM Age Group Championships July 15-18. The meet kicked off with a State Champion in the 400 IM and best times in the 800M Freestyle. Success continued throughout the weekend as records fell and RSA swimmers swam to multiple Top 16 finishes throughout the sessions! RSA finished the meet with an 11-12 How Point award winner and a 4th Place

RSA swimmers did a fantastic job at the last chance JO Qualifier Meet held at Optimist Park Pool on July 9-11th. There were many speedy finishes which consisted of “Close Calls” where some just missed a qualifying time, however RSA had 26 swimmers who achieved at least one best time! RSA’s 12&Unders swam to a total of 11 JO Cut Times and 2 of our Senior swimmers concluded the meet with two Senior Champ Qualifying Times! Furthermore, RSA swam to several “Top Ten Time” finishes!

To beat the heat outside, RSA swimmers participated in a swim meet inside June 26th & June 27th. Aptly named, the “Summer Sizzle”, due to the latest heat wave but also because the swimmers on RSA have been “sizzlin’” recently! Yet another meet, during this 50th year anniversary, in which RSA swimmers roasted up new RSA Top 10 times, personal best times and a whisper of accomplishments to come!

RSA Swimmers gave their father's the best gift ever, at the June Distance Day on Sunday, June 20th (Father's Day), by making them proud. They did this by using Distance Day to try new events, better their time in previously swum events and in the process swim to new RSA Top 10 times!
