Great Day for RSA on the first day of Olympic Trials. The 3 high-schoolers were 3 for 3 LTB (lifetime bests) - with Hannah swimming a 1:01.42 100fly (RSA 15-16 women's record and also RSA Senior Women's record) - Sarah then swam a 4:54.80 in the 400im (also a RSA 15-16 women's record and an RSA Senior Women's record) - Torrey then time-trialed the 200im and recorded a 2:20.30 which is a 2-second drop and also a new National cut and a new Olympic Trial cut. Melanie Roberts also swam a LTB 1:01.10 100 fly representing Auburn; Will Dove (representing Auburn) also went a LTB in the 400 free with a 3:57.03; Jon Roberts (representing Minnesota) trialed in 8th in the 100 breaststroke and will swim in semi-finals tonight after his 1:01.44 performance this morning. Stephanie Glover also had her retirement swim this morning in the 100fly representing Virgina - Stephanie will spend the remainder of the week hanging out with her teammates (new and old) and then go to graduate school in the fall at UVA. Only 17% of swims at previous Olympic Trials have bettered the seed times, so we are well ahead of the curve in that regard!
