After practice ends on Friday and Saturday (Halloween), the Nova, Dolphin and Pre-National swim groups on RSA are just getting started! The Pre-National Group is having their Halloween Party on Friday evening and the Nova/Dolphin Halloween Party is on Saturday from 11:30-1:00 pm at TAC!

On Friday, Oct. 16th thru Sunday, Oct. 18th the entire RSA swim team competed in its annual RSA Kick-Off Meet at the Triangle Aquatics Center. To celebrate the start of the new season, RSA parents, swimmers and coaches supported RSA and their other favorite college/professional sports teams throughout the weekend. Helping to add to the themed celebration, RSA swimmers successfully "kicked off" its 50th Anniversary by scoring new Personal Best Times and new RSA Top 10 Times!

The RSA Coaching Staff has announced its RSA Swimmers Of The Month for the month of September. These athletes will receive recognition by receiving a Swimmer Of The Month certificate and a RSA Swimmer Of The Month swim cap!

Participating in a swim meet designed to help swimmers either receive an IMX score or improve their current IMX score, RSA swimmers successfully did just that while swimming at WAVE's IMX Distance Day on Sunday, October 4th. By using the critiques that were given to them at the September Shootout Meet from the Senior athletes, RSA swimmers swam to a personal best time an incredible 75% of the time with an even more impressive 50% of swimmers swimming to all personal best times!

RSA Weekend, consisted with a great RSA Day on Friday evening, September 18th and a successful September Shootout swim meet on Saturday, September 19th! New RSA swimmers were given the perfect swm meet atmosphere to get their feet wet and all RSA swimmers took advantage of another chance to swim fast! A tremendous opportunity was taken advantage of at the Shootout Meet by having the Senior RSA swimmers use their swimming knowledge and experience in giving performance critiques to all of the other RSA swimmers. What an amazing way for RSA way to start off it's 50th Year!

Inching closer and closer to its 50th Birthday, RSA started the celebratation by competing in the 2009 North Carolina Aquatic Club's Tar Heel States Invitational at Koury Natatorium Friday, July 31st thru Sunday, August 2nd. With almost 70% of its swimmers scoring including 12 event winning swims, RSA was able to come up with a 5th place effort and over 1,600 total points.

In addition to our 15 Total RSA Team Records that were broken during the North Carolina Swimming Age Group Championships & Senior Championships, RSA athletes also were able to break 4 North Carolina Swimming Records and 5 Meet Records!

RSA swimmers competed at the 2009 Long Course Senior Championships on Thursday, July 23rd thru Sunday, July 26th. Our 2nd place finish was an even better finish than last year's 3rd place finish and tops out of swim clubs in the Triangle area! RSA swimmers were able to have such a respectable finish due to our inordinate amount of quality swims contributing to 751 total points, 10 1st place finishes and 8 new RSA Team Records!

RSA sits in 3 rd-place at the 2009 NCS LCM Senior Champs with 499 points after 3 days of competition. We are 6.5 points out of 2rd.
