RSA swimmers got their Long Course Season off to a "BANG" at the 2010 RSA April Shootout on Sunday, April 25th by having 86 swimmers swim to 100% Best Times, another 63 swimmers swim to at least 1 Personal Best Time and 140 help to start the LCM Top Ten List online!

Thanks to the volunteers that helped out at the Intra-Group Meet on Saturday, April 10th, including around 10 Senior swimmers, the Intra-Group Meet ran very smoothly even though 18 more swimmers swam in the meet this year than last year. In its second year of existence, the Intra-Group Meet is an intrasquad meet designed for the Sea Stars/Novas/Junior Prep/Dolphin & MSHS Prep RSA Swim Groups as a meet in which they can get 1 last chance to prepare for the upcoming Summer League season.

In the final meet of this 50th Anniversary Short Course Season at Tarheel States March 19th thru March 21st, RSA once again came together as Team to produce 19 Event Winners from 13 Different Swimmers; 3 More RSA Team Records and our finishing touches to the online Top 10 list! What an amazing way to celebrate your Golden Anniversary!

The RSA Coaching Staff has announced its RSA Swimmers Of The Month for the month of February. These athletes will receive recognition by receiving a Swimmer Of The Month certificate and a RSA Swimmer Of The Month swim cap!

With the assistance of 2 Event Winners & 4 RSA Team Records, the RSA Women were able to swim to a 6th place finish at Age Group Sectionals March 11th thru March 14th; with only 16 RSA Women in attendance! RSA swimmers, at this meet, also swam to an unusually high percentage of new RSA Top 10 times and personal best times.

48 RSA swimmers took advantage of at least 1 more opportunity to improve their times by swimming at B/C States Friday, March 5th thru Sunday, March 8th. Capitalizing on their opportunity ALL 48 RSA swimmers earned a Best Time at the meet!

On March 2nd thru March7th, 37 RSA swimmers took a team travel trip to Austin, TX for the Austin Grand Prix. The Austin Grand Prix this year was a star-studded affair with Natalie Coughlin, Katie Hoff, Garrett Weber-Gale and Aaron Piersol in attendance amongst many others. RSA swimmers showed that they felt right at home with the best by setting 18 RSA Team Records, 8 North Carolina Swimming Records and 1 Swedish National Record!

Congratulations to OIivia Carter, Cynthia Li, Kate Moore, Rebecca Ssengonzi, Stephanie Ding, Melissa Ortega, Seth Maslowski, Gavin McCulloch, Will Ritchie, Jon Roach, Hannah Moore, Victoria Tschoke and Bailey Maloney for qualifying to North Carolina Swimming's Select Camp! Swimmers qualified for the camp by finishing in the Top 5 at the Age Group Championships Thursday, February 18th thru Sunday, February 21st.

After the 1st day of the Age Group Championships, Thursday, February 18th thru Sunday, February 21st, RSA found itself in a tie for 4th place. Receiving a push due to a North Carolina Swimming Record Breaking Relay, 8 more Event Winners throughout the weekend, a 10&U Women’s High Point Award Winner and 6 RSA Team Records; RSA was able to lock up a 2nd place finish for the 2nd straight year!
