RSA Heats Up The Open Water Championship

Seven Lakes, West End, NC- Twenty nine RSA swimmers traveled to the Pinehurst area on June 7th to compete in the 2008 North Carolina Open Water State Championship. The event takes place on Lake Echo in the Seven Lakes community in West End, NC. Swimmers competed in different open water distances based on their ages. For most of the RSA swimmers, this was their first experience in an open water event and many impressive performances were turned in.

RSA swimmers delivered outstanding swims in the first long course meet of the 2008 season. Over 150 RSA swimmers competed at TAC in the RSA hosted Good Stuff Meet from May 16-18. The tropical themed swim meet included meet officials wearing grass skirts, Hawaiian shirts & leis, and beach hats. The festive atmosphere was appreciated by the 750+ swimmers in attendance.
