Blue Moon 12 & Under Invitational
The Blue Moon Meet is this weekend, Nov. 2nd and 3rd. This should be a great meet for all swimmers. Here are some things for you to know about the meet. The meet will be held at the Hillsbrough Sportsplex, in Hillsborough, NC. You can find directions to the sportsplex on our website. Here are the times that you must be at the meet:

Please be on deck ready to go 15 minutes prior to warm up.
BB and Faster Sessions: Sat.and Sun.: Warm Up 7:30 AM (be on deck at 7:15) Meet starts: 8:30
B/C Sessions: Sat. and Sun.: Warm Up Not Before 12:30 PM (be on deck at 12:15) Meet starts: approximately 1:15 PM.

KID PUSHERS
This meet should not be as crowded as the last one in Wilmington, therefore I would like to set up some kid pushers ahead of time to get the swimmers to the clerk of course for the B/C session. We will be getting a place at the Sportsplex where we can all sit together as a team. I would like to have kid pushers for the following age groups during the B/C session. We need kid pushers for the 8 & Under age group and the 9-10 age group on both Sat. and Sun. The 11-12's will be responsible for getting themselves to the Clerk of Course. I will post a sign up sheet on the bulletin board if you are interested in helping to get our swimmers to their races. I will contact you to let you know when you will be kid pushing.

What to Bring to the Meet:

• Black RSA Swim Suit
• 2 Towels per session (They will get wet quickly)
• Water Bottle (it will get hot so you want to drink plenty of fluids)
• Red RSA Cap
• Sweat Suit- you want some type of sweat suit to keep warm when you are walking in and out of the building
• Goggles- Do not forget these

After your race please make sure to come and see Coach Brian or Coach Larry. It is very important that you get feedback from your performance in each of your races. These are the times that you will learn the most about your swimming, so please see your coach after your competition!

Make sure that you get a good night sleep, and eat healthy this week before the meet. DO NOT STAY UP REAL LATE! If you are swimming in the morning eat a light breakfast. An individual events report for the meet will be put in each child's folder at the pool, so PLEASE MAKE SURE TO CHECK YOUR FOLDERS!

NO SATURDAY PRACTICE
There will be no practice on Saturday, Nov. 2nd for the Minnow, Nova, Wahoo, and Dolphin practice groups. Most of the kids will be attending the Blue Moon Meet in Hillsborough.

Halloween BASH!
Go look for your costumes, or get them made because the Minnow, Nova, Wahoo, and Dolphin groups are going to have a Halloween Bash on Wednesday, Oct. 30th. Each swimmer should wear a costume to practice. We will have a best costume contest, and hand out some treats to the swimmers. This will be an all around fun day for everyone. Because of Halloween there will be no practice on Thurs., October 31st. Take the day off and go trick-or-treating. Thank you to all the parents that came to the party meeting on Sat., Oct. 26. They have all formed a great committee, and are putting together a great party for our swimmers. Here are the times the swimmers should show up for the party. There will be no swimming that day. Dolphins: 5:00-6:00 PM; Minnows, Novas, and Wahoos: 5:30-6:30. Next Meet: RSA-North Age Group Thanksgiving Invitational Swim Meet
The next swim meet for age group swimmers is the RSA-North Thanksgiving Invitational Swim Meet to be held at Ravenscroft School in Raleigh, NC. The meet will be taking place on November 22, 23, & 24. The Friday session of the meet are for BB and faster swimmers only. On Sat. and Sun, BB and faster swimmers are in the morning, while B/C swimmers are in the afternoon. The scratch deadline for this meet will be November 10, 2002. Please email Coach Brian at bgill@swimrsa.org by Nov. 10th if you will not be attending the swim meet or if you will only be going to the meet for one of the sessions. Meet information and event schedule will be distributed to the folders this week.

Looking for a Meet Director
RSA parents, we are looking for a meet director for the Reindeer Meet to be held later this year at the Hillsborough Sportsplex Dec. 7-8. We need to get this meet director soon or we will not be able to host this meet for the kids. We are looking for more than one person to help out as meet director. Please, any parents that have experience we need your help. Any parents that are interested please let me know as soon as possible.

Private Lessons
