What to Bring to the Meet:
  • Black RSA Swim Suit
  • 2 Towels per session (They will get wet quickly)
  • Water Bottle (it will get hot so you want to drink plenty of fluids)
  • Red RSA Cap
  • Sweat Suit- you want some type of sweat suit to keep warm when you are walking in and out of the building
  • Goggles- Do not forget these
Psych Sheet- The psych sheet for the Re-Reindeer Meet is on the RSA Webpage, and you can go check it out. Look under meets and info/results.

After your race please make sure to come and see Coach Brian, Coach Mehghan, or Coach Larry. It is very important that you get feedback from your performance in each of your races. These are the times that you will learn the most about your swimming, so please see your coach after your competition!

Make sure that you get a good night sleep, and eat healthy this week before the meet. DO NOT STAY UP REAL LATE! If you are swimming in the morning eat a light breakfast.

PLEASE READ IMPORTANT: For the last few meets I have been putting an individual events report in your folder. This was to help some of the new swimmers get adjusted to the meets. You can print out an events report for your child on the rsa web page. Go to swimrsa.org , and look under meets. Go to info results, and find the Fall States meet on the list. Once you find it look under meet entries. There is a list of every child swimming in the meet and the event numbers. IN ORDER TO SAVE PAPER, I WILL NO LONGER BE PUTTING AN EVENT REPORT IN YOUR CHILD'S FOLDER SO PLEASE LOOK AT THE WEB PAGE TO FIND WHAT THEY MAY BE SWIMMING.

Volunteers: We are realling hurting for volunteers for Friday evening at the Sportsplex. If you have a child swimming on Firday night we definitly need your help please.

NO FRIDAY AND NO STAURDAY PRACTICE:
There will be no practice Fri., Jan. 10th or Sat., Jan 11th due to the swim meet this weekend.

Video Taping

Video taping for the Minnow, Nova, Wahoo, and Dolphin practice groups will take place on Jan. 14th again. This will be during the swimmers normal practice times. I thought that the video taping this past week went great. I anticipated to get through more swimmers, but I will resume again next week after the Re-Reindeer Meet. Don't worry everyone will be video taped! Parents we will need your help running the cameras, so please come to practice with your children ready to help out. I think this will be a great tool for the swimmers. Sometimes you really do not know what you are doing wrong unless you see yourself doing it in the water!

WINTER CLEANING: We have had the bubble up for several months now, and the pool deck is really starting to get dirty. We are in need of a parent or parents that has a power washer to come in and power wash the deck. If there are any parents that would be willing to do this please let me know what day and what time would be convienient. This is something we really need done soon.

Thank you to all of the parents that have been working hard to get this Re-Reindeer meet up and running again. See you all at the meet!
