GREAT PRACTICE LAST SATURDAY WITH RSA-NORTH

I thought that last Saturday practice with RSA-North was excellent. I hope that many of you that attended the practice met someone you did not really know. It is important to know all of our teammates eventhough we may not practice with them every day. If you did not attend practice here are somethings that we worked on. First of all Coach Cara and I decided on a Warm-Up for our team everytime we go to a meet. It is called a SKID.

S- Stands for 200 Choice Swim (100 for 8 & Unders)
K- Stands for 200 Choice Kick (100 for 8 & Unders)
I- Stands for 200 IM Drill (100 for 8 & Unders)
D- Stands for 200 Choice Drill (100 for 8 & Unders)

Along with SKID we worked on relay starts.
This is the warm up we will do everytime we go to a swim meet. (Please try to make sure you know it) WE WILL GO OVER IT AT PRACTICE AGAIN!

Thank you to RSA-North for letting us come to there pool and practice with them, and thanks to them for providing donuts for all the swimmers after practice.

RSA Team T-Shirts are IN, FINALLY!
The RSA team t-shirts are here! If you have not gotten your please talk to Coach Brian. These are t-shirts that everyone on the team should get. They were included in the resgistration fee at the beginning of the season.

B/C States Entries are Complete
The B/C States entries are finished. The meet entries are located on the RSA website under meet info, and posted on the respective bulletin boards. Please check to make sure that the entries are correct. If they are not please contact coach Brian immediately so they can be corrected.

Scratch Deadline: Tarheel States
The next meet for BB + swimmers will be Tarheel States on March 28-30th. The scratch deadline for Tarheel States is Tuesday, March 11th. Please email Coach Brian if you will not be attending either of these meets or will only be going one or two of the sessions.

CHAMPIONSHIP SEASON IS HERE!
The short course championship season is here. This is an important time of the year for all swimmers. Good luck to all swimmers that will be competing at North Carolina Age Group Championships in Charlotte this weekend. Many swimmers will be in B/C States next weekend. It is important for many of you to come to practice, and work hard. This means listening in practice, as well as listening when Coach Brian and Coach Meghan start talking! Please make sure that you are working on turns everytime you do more than a 25. The more you do this the better you will get at them. Nice job at practice last week Wahoos!
