the next two weeks, where practice has moved
to Mondays.
TECHNIQUE FOR THE WEEK One thing that I have noticed in practice the last week or so is our streamlining after each start, turn, and each time we push off the wall, so I think we are all in need of a refresher on streamlining. I think we have gotten a little too comfortable in practice so we forget about the little things such as streamlining. Streamlining is a fundamental skill in competitive swimming that absolutly must be mastered. The tighter you streamline the farther you go underwater. With all of the other skills that we work on it is easy to forget. Please be sure to lock your hands together and squeeze those ears everytime you push off the wall. Try to push off the wall on your side, and streamline everytime. It is just like any other skill you work on in practice. If you do not streamline every single time you can develop a bad habit. This will be a focus for all groups this week in practice. See you all at practice Coach Brian |
