The upset of the meet was the 10-under boys 200 Freestyle relay consiting of Dylan Kab, Dillon Rudio, Jordan Denmark and Brent Curtis. Not only did these boys achieve the Top 16 National time standard, but they broke the RSA team record. Brent Curtis went on to win first place in the 50 breaststroke and achieved his first individual Top 16 time. Dylan Kab and Dillon Rudio swam to several best times with Rudio breaking :30 seconds in the 50 Free for the first time. Clinton Miller (9) also competed in his first State Champs and went best times. For the 11-12 girls, Julie Smith won the High Point Award- winning 6 events and placing 2nd and 3rd in several other events. Julie obtained several more TOP 16 reportable times and was on the relay that consisted of Smith, Copeland, Cross and Long that missed breaking the National Age Group Record in the 200 Freestyle relay by 4 one hundredths- they will try again in March. Michelle Dettloff also competed and swam to some best times and came back in several events to consoles or finals. Michelle was a part of several Top 8 relays including 1st place in the 400 Medley relay. Hannah Facchine also competed in her first short course JO
