Another Great Night Of Racing By RSA ! by Dan Flack 2003-03-14 22:11:00 Wow - what a night! Matt McGinnis got us going with a brilliant 1:36.1 in the 200 free to win the event, breaking team, state, and meet records in the process. In the breastrokes, Kenny Cross was awesome, placing 5th with a 57.53. Mark Nowell swam a best time moving up in th consols, and Dave Green busted out a great swim in the bonus consols. The 100 fly was great, as Stephanie Glover placed 3rd with, 55.05, a new team and state record in the 100 fly, while Amanda Duncan was amazing placing fifth with a new team record for 15-16 girls and a new US Open cut. Casey Kott followed up with a nice time drop in the 100 fly bonus. The RSA relay's were as usual, spectacular. The girls 400 free relay of Katy Bland, Amanda Duncan, Julie Smith, and Stephanie Glover placed 3rd, qualifying for senior nationals, breaking the team record, and breaking the 18 & under girls state record! The boys 400 free relay of Casey Kott, Eric McGinnis, Mark Nowell, amd Matt McGinnis won the event qualifying for senior nationals, while setting the team record and meet record!
