RSA's Parking Reminders: Parking at Sonner

Laura Hubbard

Dear RSA Families:

As we return from breaks and resume normal schedules, please remember that parking is prohibited at all times in all reserved spaces and handicapped spaces in our neighbor's parking lot (the COVAL lot across from our parking lot).

Also, note:

  • On weekdays, RSA families are allowed to park in the neighboring office building parking lot (the COVAL lot across from our parking lot) ONLY after 5:30pm. Parking is NOT allowed in reserved spaces or handicapped designated spaces in the neighboring lot at any time.
  • On weekends, RSA families are allowed to park in the neighboring office building parking lot (the COVAL lot across from our parking lot) anytime. However, parking is NOT allowed in reserved spaces or handicapped designated spaces in the neighboring lot at any time.
  • Please note that towing will be enforced for any vehicles parked in our neighbor’s lot outside the designated timeframes AND in reserved and handicapped spaces at any time.
  • The COVAL parking lot is a private parking lot that the building owner allows us to use in off-peak hours for his tenants.

Parking is available in the RSA parking lot anytime we are open.  Please be mindful of the following parking guidelines:

  • RSA families are allowed to park in the Sonner/RSA parking lot anytime. A vehicle tag must be displayed if parking in a handicapped designated space.
  • Street parking is allowed on the street between the COVAL lot and the Sonner lot, as long as driveways are not blocked or obstructed and vehicles may proceed along the street. Please do not park on the street before the entrance to Sonner or COVAL (when entering from Jones Franklin Road).
  • Additional parking is allowed at the office building one entrance down on Jones Franklin Road (on the right when traveling toward the 440 intersection). There is a path from the office building to our neighbor’s parking lot for ease in accessing our facility.
  • Parking is not allowed on the fire pad (the large area to the left of the instructional pool) at any time. This pad is for emergency vehicles and preauthorized vendor vehicles.
  • When parking at Sonner, please park in designated parking spaces only. Please do not park in the driveway, on the side of the driveway, or on the mulched areas.
  • Pets are not allowed in the parking lot at Sonner or in our neighbor’s parking lot at any time unless the pets are inside vehicles.
  • Parking is not allowed at the neighboring townhomes.

Also, please be mindful that children are everywhere at Sonner. They walk from neighboring parking lots to access the driveway, enter and exit vehicles from both sides, walk through the mulched areas around vehicles, and exit from Sonner through five exit points. Small children are not visible behind or on the other side of a vehicle.

  • Never pass in the Sonner driveway.
  • Please drive very slowly and use extreme caution.

Also, please do not stop at the top of the driveway, near the entrance to the Bathhouse, to wait for your athlete. If your athlete is not outside to greet you, circle around to avoid stopping the flow of traffic.

Thank you for your compliance with the parking guidelines and your commitment to ensuring the safety of our children and our neighbor's continued hospitality. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at [email protected].
