Dues Reduction

Dues reduction programs are offered to enable members to volunteer at various venues, refer a friend or family member or purchase gift cards to reduce their monthly dues invoice.

Swim Team Referral Program

RSA offers a referral credit for members who refer new members.  If a member family refers a new family to RSA and that family joins the swim team, the referring family will receive a one-time credit toward their dues of $50.00 per family referred.  Please be mindful that group caps may impact referrals.  Families being referred should contact [email protected] to set up an evaluation and note the referring family on the evaluation form.

RSA participates in additional dues reduction opportunities, including volunteering at PNC, Koka Booth and golf tournaments.

PNC Arena

The PNC Arena and its concessionaire, VAB Catering, allow non-profit organization volunteers to staff concession stands and food/drink portables during concerts, sports, and special events including Carolina Hurricanes hockey and NC State Basketball games.  As a result, RSA receives a commission from the concessions sales/tips and credits a majority of the proceeds to the accounts of those members who work the events.  Members will receive an hourly rate.

Member accounts will not be credited for the hours worked until the PNC funds are received by RSA. Credit balances are not refundable and not transferrable to other member’s accounts. If a family leaves RSA, credits may only be applied to outstanding dues. Credit balances are not refundable.

Only those RSA members (and family members) who have completed all necessary training are eligible to volunteer at PNC.  All PNC volunteers must be at least sixteen (16) years old, eighteen (18) years old to serve alcohol.  If alcohol is not served at the event, volunteers may be as young as sixteen, if accompanied by a parent.

PNC requires BARS, or RASP (Responsible Alcohol Seller Program) training.  BARS Training classes are provided in the evenings at the PNC Arena at the beginning of the swim year (Aug.-Oct.).  Classes are announced via email to the membership and posted on the RSA website under Meet and Event Sign Up under the swim team tab.

For more details on the PNC Arena program, including how to sign up for an event and training, please send an email to [email protected].
